Level Designer

Level Designers at Bark No Byte are responsible for crafting engaging and explorative spaces that challenge and reward players. They create level layouts that guide players intuitively, using Godot’s TileMap and GridMap tools to build 2D and 3D environments. Whiteboxing, terrain sculpting, and enemy placement are key tasks.

Designers must consider pacing, navigation, secret discovery, and spatial storytelling. Skills in navigation mesh baking, lightmapping, and signal-based event triggers in Godot are a plus. A solid grasp of visual hierarchy, atmosphere, and how level geometry supports gameplay is vital.
